Happy Post Christmas, Pre New Years, weird, limbo, festive, sequined place!
Who else thinks the short time in between two of the arguably biggest holidays of the year is strange? I’m honestly so glad that I have managed to be able to take the time off work in between them for most of my life. Obviously in school it was a given and I think it made me used to it. Then when I worked in retail and nannying (which I still currently do) I was always able to take time off for traveling to see my family.
I have gotten so used to having that rest time and hope to never have to trade it in. Well, except for blogging. That’s acceptable. This year I worked on the blog/insta all during break. But it makes me so happy that I’m not complaining.
Who would complain about getting to dress up in a sequined romper, shimmy through Target, wear a paper, glittery crown, and take photos on Christmas Eve? Not I!
I also think it is so important to take this strange time and use it to reflect on the past year and get ready for the new one. Then that way you have a lot to intentionally celebrate & look forward to for New Years Eve!
I grew up in Centerville, OH; a suburb of Dayton. So for this photoshoot my sister and I went to Oregon District to get these shots. It was all her idea and I’m so glad she thought of it. It’s a cool little area that was just getting started when I moved away and I’m always happy to go check it out. Plus, I got a sprinkled Christmas donut [from Bill’s] and a cyclist wished us all the holiday greetings. Good vibes.
This romper is from Peplum. A cute/fun boutique in Lexington, KY. I really don’t know how else to explain it but trust me, it’s very fetch. I shot this outfit for them but would also recommend 99% of any of their clothes. When I went in to grab this romper I wanted to ask if it could all be my wardrobe. Ya feel? I’m into it.
Since I’m practicing minimalism for part of my #BEBETTER2018 and I already have sequined numbers galore… I decided to turn this into a giveaway! I always think it’s fun to share the love and sparkles. All you have to do to enter is tag two friends on the instagram post with this romper. AND bonus entries if you sign up for my email newsletter, like my Facebook page, and/or subscribe to my YouTube channel.
